Feeling The Way We Do

People always ask me this. Darren, how can your parents get a free night stay up at Genting always? How do I answer? *a HUGE smile* I got no idea why are they getting free rooms always although they seldom visit the casino. Anyway, isn’t a good thing? I can go up there to enjoy the breeze at the same time enjoy looking at people challenging their fears by riding all those wonderful rides there. I’m blogging too much on Genting and YES I noticed about that. This is because, Genting has been one of my second home since I ever moved down to Kuala Lumpur.

As usual, for dinner, I will drive down to the mushroom farm to have all the wonderful dishes served there. I really adore the 3 types of mushroom cooked with some gravy. I can finish up the whole bowl by myself. Whenever I’m there I would always ask my dad to order for me the biggest among all plate of that dish. I HEART mushrooms!

Dad ordered one fried rice and one noodles for one. We are small eaters nowadays, so, we normally share 2 persons food among 3 of us since my sis is in UK now. Not blogging on buffets would be one of the prove. *smile*

We ordered pork leg. We asked for a small serving but the waitress said there is only one size and we, 3, can finish them all. When it reaches our table, deep in my heart, the word OMG is the only one seen. It’s huge and I think it would be best served to 6 person.

Here comes the best dish ever served there! Mushroom! Go there and have a try by yourself. *SMILE*

After that, mum and I went for the show at The Pavillion. Dazzle is the show. Few dance performance and magic show. It was fun and interesting. I never took any photo of the performance because it’s prohibited. Here are some pictures of how The Paviliion looks like.

Go and watch. You’ll enjoy it till the max.

Wonderful isn’t? It’s so cold in there.

Slept at 1am after watching The Hunt for Eagle One in the room.

Came down at about 10am today because my dad has something to do. Reached home about 12 noon as we went to Carrefour to get something first. Took all the stuff from my luggage bag and transferred my Langkawi needs into it. I’m leaving to Langkawi tomorrow and YES, the day that I’m waiting for arrived at last as this is my first time going to Langkawi with my friends. People would say, isn’t boring going there again since you’ve been there twice? My answer? I’m going there with my closest friend ever in my Pre-U life! Going to blog on it after the trip. My plan today would be sleeping by 9am as I got to leave home by 5 in the morning tomorrow to get to the airport.

My language class will be starting on the 26th of July. This coming Monday and I’m going to be like one of those who travels to work and get caught in the jam every single day! My class will be starting at 2pm-5pm. Hectic days ahead, so it’s time for me to enjoy the whole Langkawi trip before getting into those lifeless life.

Genting Trip Due to Free Vouchers

Last Monday, my family and I went up to Genting as my parents got two free room vouchers. We went up there at night which is after all my lectures and their work. We reached up there at around 8pm and surprisingly, there were a lot of people up there. It wasn’t that cold when I was up there. As usual, I will go for coffee at Starbucks with McFlurry. By the way, due to all rooms were fully booked, we got a complementary Superior Deluxe room if I’m not wrong. 1 queen sized bed and 2 single beds. Love it but it’s First World Hotel. I prefer Resort Hotel or others. *evil laugh*

Played with the shutter speed and the ISO. Only that the head of that guy is distracting this picture.

After going up to Genting so many times, I just noticed that there is a heated swimming pool for guests who put a night in Genting and Highlands Hotel. Will try it out next time! *laugh*

The next day, we came down at 3pm and we went for a karaoke session with Sze Ling.

Trips after trips

Being up at Genting always make me happy. I love the breeze there and the scenery there. Most importantly, there must be thick mists and cold winds. Not forgetting, going for the Flying Coaster ride is a must whenever I am up at Genting. I went up there again last Saturday which was the Thaipusam day. The jam around Batu Caves area were bad on that day as I took around 1 hour plus to reach Setapak. The normal duration for me to reach Setapak would only be around 30 minutes. We reached up there at around 12pm. Here are some pictures that I took up there again.

All of the photos explained everything and the reason that I love to go up to Genting.

DSC00044

The shops at First World Plaza. They changed very fast as the last time I went there, the decorations are all about Christmas! I just simply miss Christmas day!

DSC00045

Yeah! I want money! Money,money,money!

When I took this photo, there was a clown there. He thought that I was going to take a photo of him. Unfortunately, I did not take his photo and he broke down and cry. *laugh* Just joking. He did those Micheal Jackson’s moves and he also told me his not Micheal Jackson. I asked him to make a poodle for me and he asked me whether I want a male or a female poodle. I got no idea what are the difference between them. He told me, a male poodle has a bob at the end of the tail. In the end, I just asked him to make me a female poodle.

We came down at around 6pm. The next day we went to One Utama to do a little bit more of shopping. The decorations there are nice but I still can’t figure out why it would be cats on the stage this year and not tigers.

At 4pm, there was a lion dance performance. I just can’t wait for Chinese New Year to come! Red packets! Awesome!

I got to go now. Going out soon for a hair cut.

Till then!

After A Long Period Of Time

Here I am again. I got no chance to blog since after my semester 3 starts. By going back to campus everyday at 8 a.m. made me feel more energetic. On the other hand, I felt that A2 syllabus is much more challenging than that in AS. Most importantly, I would give and do my very best to get through all of this dilemmas.

Two weeks back, my family and I went up to Genting Highlands. We put a night at the Resort Hotel. We went up there on Friday night. My dad drove all the way up. It was raining that time. At one part of the journey, my dad could not see anything in front as the mist was very thick. There were many people going up too that day. They drove even faster and I could not understand how could they drive that fast.

We reached there at around 9 p.m. The hotel lobby was not so packed at that time. We went up to our room and left our luggage there and off we go to the shopping area.

The mist up there was so thick. The main purpose of going up there is to relax my mind and to enjoy the breeze there. Imagine of your face not being oily and your jeans that you are wearing is clean all the time. I love that feeling! Dad wanted to order a bucket of beer up there but it was too late and everyone is kind of tired already. So, we went back to our room.

The toilet in the room has rain shower! Love bathing using it. I love bathing with the hot water first and before leaving from the bathing area, change it to cold water! It’s the best thing to do up there in Genting. Freezing cold. Just imagine that you are bathing ice water. You will definitely feel fresh!

We woke up early in the morning to have a look at the sunrise. It was a breath taking view up there. Waking up that early just to look at the sunrise is so worth it for me. My sister who never wakes up early, woke up to look at the sunrise too! It was so….surprising!

After that, we went to shop for some clothes up there. Then we checked out and of we go to the temple. Here are some pictures taken at the temple. There is a newly built hotel there too! Reasonable price but you got to take the cable car up to Genting if you do not have a car.

This just looks like I am in China. I have never been to China before yet and planning to go there someday. My friends always said that China is a cool place but the food there is scary to be eaten. You want to know why she said this? This is because we read a mail saying that in China, they used chopsticks to turn it into noodles. DANGEROUS!

When I was there, I heard a noise of a girl shouting. I wonder what happened that time. In the end, I saw an old lady who was lying on the floor. No one helped her. Imagine that people could just look at her lying on the floor. Luckily there was a few girls helping the old lady at that moment. The old lady fell actually.

 DSC00073

I climbed up till the last floor! The 9th floor! It was tiring but worth it. Here are some pictures that I took when I am up there.

One Day Trip to Genting Highlands

Yesterday, my family and I went up to Genting Highlands. It was a one day trip only.
My dad asked me to drive up where I don't really have the confidence to drive up on that day.
In the end, I drove up all the way with the confidence I had. Safely reached up there at around 10am.

We stopped at the Awana Genting Highlands Golf & Country Resort a while.
It wasn't that cold there. The golf course looks nice. Dad wants to play there next time.
Deep in my heart * bring me please *
Haha. Love golf as we can enjoy the wonderful and calm scenery.

It's a hot swimming pool. At first, I thought it was a normal swimming pool and swimmers will be freezing in there. (:

Shots taken by my G900 Sony Mobile phone. *cheers*

It's wet on that day as it was stated there at the drop of area. Not many was playing that day.

Mist!!! Cooling!

An Indian family asked me a favour to take a photo of them. Why not? Smile!!!

Buggy! I asked that on whether there's any accident involving buggies. He said yes! OMG! I don't believe it. Why are drivers so impatient?? Hmph....

Thanks to sis to take this photo for me.

Mum & Dad with me on the way to the driving range. RM8 for 100 balls. Cheap!!! I'll come next time. I don't think I'll sweat by playing golf here. *woots*

Then we left Awana and I continued driving up to the peak of Genting Highlands. Very cold seriously!

All Christmas decorations are up! Nice!!!

Christmas! I can't wait for you to come! Faster!

There was a lot of people up there yesterday. Packed with people. My sister and I decided to go into the theme park and my parents to the casino. Used the buy 1 free 1 ticket voucher. Cheap...

Space shot! A must to try always! My sister and I went for it of course. My sis sprained her neck after that ride. Haha

The first ride that we went on. Float in the air!!!

What a colourful hotel. ^^

The view from the Pirate Ship ride.

The Pirate Ship at Sunway is much better! 360 degrees!! In genting....360 degree is a NO. Haha.

The mist was getting thicker and thicker as the time passes by.

Corkscrew. Never manage to get on that ride as the queue was super long!

This was a waste of time for me to go for it! Going in there to sleep. ^^

Went for the Rolling Thunder Mine Train ride.

Taken during Sungai Rejang Flume Ride. This is one of the must to go ride when you get your Genting Theme Park ticket. :)

I was wet because of this ride. Freaking cold when the breeze comes over me.

Went for the Crazy Space Lab ride.... It was so kiddie to go for. Aikss...

Cool huh!

On the way out, we saw this!

In the bus.

Went for the Flying Coaster ride. Sister was not daring enough to go on this ride. So, I went for it alone. Hehe. Nothing can stop me! ^^ Have the guts people!

Peace!

Was so happy.... I'm totally sick.

I'm done! The ride was so nice! Go for it! Not thrilling enough. Don't worry.

On the way back to the car, there was a performance by this group. They used all those pails and containers to make a rhythm. It's a song! Cool! Recycle people!

By sweeping the floor they can produce a rhythm for the song. *woots*

They performed Matsuri by Kitaro. Nice job people! Way to go! Keep up the good work!

On the way back. I asked dad to drive as the roads are slippery as it was a bit wet. Dangerous!
He drove all the way back. I enjoyed this trip although it was a one day trip only. Going up again after my sister finishes her assignments. Then going up again on the 8th of January. Skipping lectures again! Haha.

Till then.
