Malacca Trip with Friends.

This is going to be a very long post. Let it load slowly.

On the 18th of December, Samuel, Aron and I went to Malacca to relax our minds with all the foods there. Samuel wants to learn how to take better photographs there too! We took Transnational bus to Central Malacca. We got to sit at the club class seats! Go for it everyone! It is so comfortable. *laugh* We passed through the air force base. Here is what I saw when we passed by the air force base.

A glider. Is this the correct name for this plane? Correct me if I am wrong.

DSC00018

We reached Central Malacca at around 12pm. Then we took a bus to Mahkota which cost RM 1 per person. By the way, the bus ticket to Central Malacca is RM 12.50 one way.

We tried to find the hostel that we are going to. In the first place, we thought that we were heading to the wrong way but we ended up in front of the hostel! Thanks to me! *evil laugh* I never followed the map that I got because we took the wrong bus and we ended up to be at Mahkota Parade.

Checked in and paid for my room. 3 persons bedroom cost RM 45 per night. Here are some pictures of the room. The hostel name? Little Nyonya Youth Hostel.

1

Along the corridor, we could leave a message there before we check out from the hostel.

2

That is my bed! Tidy enough?

3

Samuel grabbed a bed down to the floor to get the stand fan. *laugh*

DSC00020

After preparing our bed, off we go to grab some food for lunch! We had our shower before going out as Malacca is freaking hot!

DSC00022

On the way to Jonker Street for lunch! Food!!!

DSC00023

Malacca city is packed with people!

DSC00029

Look at the cendol shop across the road! All the time when I visit Malacca, that shop would be empty. Still prefer to visit Malacca during the weekdays.

DSC00030

Samuel with his Canon Powershot SX120 IS.

6

We went to this shop to have the famous Chicken Rice Ball as other shops are full with people. I hate queuing up for food. I’ve been to this shop before with my family. Nothing special but as we visit Malacca, we got to try their specialties.

DSC00031

The interior of the restaurant.

DSC00033

RM 8 for each type of chicken.

DSC00034

RM 8 for each type of pork.

DSC00035

Chicken rice ball. We ordered 2 plates of normal rice too!

Aron and Samuel having their lunch Hope they enjoyed the lunch.

4

Yummy! ^^ The bill came to about RM 37. While lunching I called Michelle to check where is she in Malacca so that I could meet her for a while. In the end, I just bumped into her along Jonker Street after having my lunch. Malacca is such a tiny little area. Actually Malacca is not small. Tourist are normally attracted to the Jonker Street area only. There are more places to go when you visit Malacca. Bukit Cina is one of it.

As we walked around Jonker Street, we went to some temples to pray. Since we are here, why not? Just have the heart to pray.

DSC00039

It’s very hot there when I’m actually there. What Michelle said is true. We are in the verge of melting there. We need ice! Seriously. Get more shirts when you want to visit Malacca. You got to change frequently but my adopted younger sister, Hor Chen don’t change that often. I do not know why. *laugh*

DSC00040

After praying, we went for cendol! Actually, I was supposed to go to one of the famous restaurant in front of Geography Cafe to have cendol. Dishearteningly, it was packed with people. The only alternative would be going to the shop beside it which does not have many people there.

After that, we went back to our hostel. On the way back, we went to Carrefour at Dataran Pahlawan Megamall.

DSC00047

A new ride in Malacca. The duck ride tour if I am not mistaken.

DSC00048

Menara Taming Sari.

We were exhausted at that time and Carrefour is located at the 3rd floor of that mall if I am not mistaken. We bought Maggi Cup and two bottles of mineral water.

As we reached our hostel, everyone had a shower and we played 21 as usual. Minimum bet would be 5 cents and maximum would be anything. Samuel became the banker on the first day. Aron lost badly. *evil laugh* It rained heavily at around 6pm. We had our Maggi Cup first while waiting for the rain to stop.

DSC00055

Three of us bought the same thing from Carrefour. The person at the counter was laughing as we bought the same thing. Sigh.

DSC00051

After my shower.

DSC00050

The view from the hostel. Nothing much. When the rain stopped, we went our for our second dinner.

DSC00056

Malacca city at night. The cars were crawling. Better not to drive in Malacca during holiday seasons.

What is this? Try to guess. Look at the next picture to know what it is.

DSC00078

This came with the Asam Laksa actually. It was sambal with ‘si ham’.

DSC00092

Nyonya Baba Kuihs. This was on the house. FOC! Yummy! The kuih tasted good! Samuel was super full! Overloaded. *laugh* He can’t even manage to drink up his coffee.

DSC00100

‘Pulut inti’.

DSC00098

The entrance. How to get there? Here is the address for this coffeehouse. No.108, Lorong Hang Jebat (1st Cross Street) Malacca. You could call Gary Ng at +6016-3743956. While having our dinner, I asked the waitress, “Where could I have fried oyster?” She told me that there is a restaurant along the same street which sells that! We found that restaurant and we planned to have that on the second night on the way to Jonker Street.

9

At Jonker Street at night before it rains.

10

I brought along the rain wear that I got from the MTV World Stage. We wore it as it rains when we were walking back to our hostel from Jonker Street. Everyone was asking where I bought this. Not for sale would be the answer? I got a few more with me now. *evil laugh*

We took a few photos on the way back to our hostel.

 12

Aron.

11

Me.

13

Samuel.

14

We got to rush back before 12am as Hor Chen and I wanted to give Ngan, Hor Chen’s boyfriend a birthday suprise. Anyway, we manage to reach there before 12am.

After that, we went up to our room. We planned to have a look at the sunrise at Malacca. I woke up at 5.30am the next day. We made Aron up early in the morning. He never wakes up that early everyday. *laugh*

The view on top of the mountain. It’s dark up there!

17

This was taken by Samuel’s camera.

18

This picture was taken while we were looking at the sunrise. Aron and me. The sunrise was blocked by Equatorial hotel. We were so disappointed on that day. Another guy from Jakarta, Indonesia went to the Portuguese Village to look at the sunrise. He managed to get a clear picture of it. It’s okay. We are going there again to have a look at the sunrise there!

19

Aron and Samuel.

Down the St.Paul’’s Hill.

Here are some pictures taken at around 7am. Malacca streets are still empty! We are the only one out there! Scary huh?

24

On the way up to St.Paul’s Hill again. Before I move on, Samuel saw a China girl who he is interested at. He took many photos of her and he also used my shoulder as his tripod. Most importantly, the girl and her friend noticed that he was taking their pictures after a few shots. This is Samuel. *laugh* I couldn’t upload that photo here as he never upload that picture on his facebook. Wait till I get from him personally. His a stalker! *evil laugh* Just joking yea. Don’t take it so seriously.

31

32

Meditating?

DSC00151

Continued with 21. This time, I became the banker. I won most of their money! Aron lost again at first. After a few round, he won back a little bit. ‘A little bit’. *evil laugh* Hor Chen and her boyfriend joined us too! They lost aroud RM 2. Sorry yea.

After that, it was dinner time! We went out to have Satay Celup! I invited Raj too!

33

Look at the queue! We never had Satay Celup at that restaurant but another restaurant beside it. We don’t love queuing up for food. My adopted sis and her boyfriend, Raj, Samuel, Aron and I went for satay celup!

34

Yummy!

After that, the couple wanted to go for the river cruise ride. While, my friends and I wanted to have the fried oyster! We walked there together. We finally managed to have the fried oyster. RM 8 for three of us.

The third day. We woke up early in the morning and we took a photo of us before going back home.

39

From the bottom left, the guy from Jakarta, Raj and Samuel. From the top left, Chin Seong, Hor Chen, me and Aron.

40
